THERE will be books galore in Appledore on Sunday when the annual Appledore Book Fair takes place at Appledore Hall.
Part of the Appledore Book Festival, the fair will feature hundreds of second-hand and antiquarian books from booksellers across the South West, covering a wide range of interests. Postcards, maps, prints and various ephemera will also be displayed.
Subjects available will be natural history, railway books, motoring items and a fascinating selection of women's history. Books of local interest will also feature strongly at the fair.
Also, South Molton author Tony Chapman will be attending the event and signing copies of his new book War Of The Motor Gun Boats – an account of his war at sea with the coastal forces from 1943 to 1945.
Appledore Book Fair is at Appledore Hall on Sunday October 6, 10.30am to 4pm. Details: 01237 421065.
