One of the biggest and most widespread celebrations, Christmas is the time when the world seems to collectively come together to spread joy and happiness. With relentless cold weather making the British landscape a desolate and barren place, many of us seek the solace of our homes– wrapping up on the sofa and watching one of the many great Christmas films which are sure to punctuate TV schedules at this time of year.

Attracting plenty of visitors every year for its fantastic shopping facilities, New York is a popular and established landing point for us Brits. For anyone looking to really embrace the film culture of the United States, look out for backdrops that have featured in some of the country’s biggest and most recognisable exports including Miracle on 34th Street, King Kong, West Side Story and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Las Vegas

For those after an alternative holiday, Las Vegas is the perfect destination. Full of vitality and local colour, Vegas offers entertainment and excitement for all ages.

Las Vegas is undoubtedly an area closely associated with the world of film, with bright lights and big stages characterising the area. From romantic comedies to Bond films and casino heists, every type and style of movie has been shot here and most of the major hotels will be ready to tell you about the myriad of Hollywood stars who have passed through their doors. Look out for locations from Diamonds are Forever, The Hangover and Ocean’s Eleven.
