FOOTBALL

TWO goals from Aaron Stevens could not prevent Bideford reserves going out of the Graddon Vending Devon Premier Cup.

The Robins were beaten 5-2 by Stoke Gabriel, of the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League.

North Molton enjoyed an absorbing contest with Buckland Athletic before going out 2-1 to a late winner in extra time.

Home goalkeeper Joe Tickle and his Buckland counterpart both made key saves after North Molton had taken the lead through Greg Holland.

Putford were depleted due to a wedding and were thrashed 11-0 at Feniton, the Fresha Devon and Exeter League side.

Boca Seniors will try again on Saturday after their tie with Okehampton Argyle was postponed. The winners will visit Exeter University in the last eight on December 1.

If Appledore can win their rearranged tie at Lee Moor, they will meet Stoke Gabriel in the quarter-finals.

Braunton reserves suffered a 9-0 thumping against Tiverton Town reserves in the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup.

Combe Martin, the 2007 winners, did not raise a team for the trip to Plymouth to face Windmill.

Lynton and Lynmouth are due to play Cullompton Rangers on Saturday with the winners set to meet Buckfastleigh Rangers in the fourth round.
